Bali is home to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Southeast Asia. From powerful jungle cascades and hidden canyon waterfalls to photogenic swimming spots, there's no shortage of incredible places to explore.
Many of Bali's best waterfalls are located near Ubud, but you'll also find breathtaking falls in the north and east of the island.

Tibumana waterfall
Tibumana Waterfall is one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Bali.
Although it isn't the tallest or most powerful waterfall on the island, its beauty lies in the setting. Surrounded by lush greenery and framed by a dramatic rock wall, Tibumana feels like a hidden tropical oasis. The calm pool at the base of the waterfall also makes it one of the best spots for a refreshing swim.
Kanto Lampo waterfall
Kanto Lampo Waterfall has become one of Bali's most photographed waterfalls, and it's easy to see why. Hidden within a jungle valley, visitors walk through a shallow river before reaching the waterfall itself. Water flows over a series of rocky terraces, creating one of the island's most unique landscapes.
It's particularly popular with photographers thanks to its wide shape and dramatic appearance.
Leke Leke waterfall
Leke Leke Waterfall is often considered one of Bali's most beautiful waterfalls.
A short walk through tropical forest leads to a stunning narrow waterfall cascading down a lush cliff face. The surrounding scenery makes it feel incredibly peaceful, especially if you visit early in the morning.
Tegenungan Waterfall
Tegenungan Waterfall is one of the most famous waterfalls in Bali and one of the easiest to reach from Ubud. Unlike many other waterfalls on the island, Tegenungan is broad and powerful, particularly after periods of heavy rainfall.

If we had to choose a favourite, Nungnung Waterfall would be near the top of the list.
Located in the hills of northern Bali, this powerful waterfall plunges into a lush jungle valley and feels far more remote than many waterfalls closer to Ubud.
In the early morning, sunlight often filters through the trees, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
Goa Raja waterfall
Goa Raja Waterfall remains one of Bali's lesser-known gems. Wooden walkways lead visitors through a scenic jungle setting before reaching the waterfall, which is tucked away inside a dramatic cave-like opening.
Nearby you'll also find a natural swimming area and a smaller waterfall, making this a fantastic place to spend a few hours.
GitGit waterfall
Gitgit Waterfall is one of the tallest and most famous waterfalls in northern Bali.
Its convenient location makes it a popular stop for travellers heading towards Lovina or exploring the island's northern region. The waterfall is easily accessible from the parking area and offers a rewarding experience without requiring a long hike.
Suwat waterfall
Located near Ubud, Suwat Waterfall is a smaller but incredibly beautiful waterfall.
The trail leads through tropical vegetation before arriving at a peaceful swimming area.
One of the most unique features here is the bamboo raft floating on the water, which has become a favourite spot for photography.
